Bio

David M. Paulus, Sr.

A graduate of Marquette University's business school, David ("Dave") is trained as a Certified Public Accountant. Before purchasing WASCO he had broad experience in working with entrepreneurs and business owners. After a successful stint as the CFO of a start-up chemical firm, Dave sold his interest in that company and purchased Wisconsin Aluminum Supply Company (now known as WASCO Windows) in 1983. At that time, the company manufactured aluminum storm windows, siding and awnings.

Under his direction WASCO became the first company in this area to manufacture the then new vinyl replacement windows. Since 1983 he has transformed WASCO into a company that manufactures and installs highly energy efficient window products.

David Paulus, Jr.

Joined the family business in 2006. He brought with him many years of experience as an engineer in academia and industry both in the United States and Germany.  He has held positions at Cleaver-Brooks, Marquette University, Siemens Power and the Technische Universität Berlin. David has a doctorate in mechanical engineering and is a licensed professional engineer in Wisconsin.

Since joining the company, David has modernized the factory, overseeing the installation of several hundred thousands of dollars of new, state-of-the-art machinery. He thoroughly updated two existing product lines while adding three completely new lines, including the new Geneo RAU-FIPRO window. David also developed methods for completely tearing out existing windows when necessary. He oversees the majority of the day-to-day operations of WASCO Windows.

David is a Marine Corps veteran of the first Gulf War. He currently volunteers as the operations officer for WISARK9, a volunteer group of K9 handlers which provides man-trailing and human remains detection dogs to local law enforcement.
